BERGER, JON – lives and works in Philadelphia. Summer 2018 will be his 60th summer on the water. He has done extensive canoe trips in Labrador; Northern Quebec; Ontario, Manitoba; and Saskatchewan. At the age of 13, he began paddling at Camp Wabun on Lake Temagami in 1958. At the age of 14 he drew free hand a map of the Makobe River canoe route. With Tom Terry of Sioux Lookout he wrote and published the Canoe Atlas of the Little North. 1200 of his drawing appear in the Atlas. Sigurd Olson, Real Berard, Frances Lee Jacques, and the Group of Seven form his artistic touchstone.
