Michael Mitchell is a Toronto-based writer, photographer and filmmaker. His photography is in the permanent collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario, the National Gallery and the Sweden’s Museum of Modern Art among many others. His writing includes the texts for four of Edward Burtynsky’s large format environmental photography books as well as an award-winning memoir and many feature articles in Canadian Art Magazine . Mitchell’s previous presentation at the W.C. Symposium was the documentary film Caribou Kayak.
